Executive Branding? That’s Your Territory Now

Make Your Exec’s LinkedIn Less Cringe, More Credible!

Let’s face it, many execs either ghost their LinkedIn for months or dive in with posts that feel… a little off. But when done right, LinkedIn isn’t just another social platform. It’s a spotlight, a networking engine, and a reputation builder. And guess who’s perfectly placed to help them show up consistently, strategically, and actually interesting? You.

1. Curate a Content Engine (with AI Support)
Set up a weekly 15-minute sync with your Executive to plan content, then use AI tools like ChatGPT or Feedly AI to generate draft post ideas from recent industry trends, podcast quotes, articles they’ve liked, or internal wins. Bonus: Build a shared space where you can drop in voice memos, screenshots, or ideas throughout the week.

2. Make It Look the Part
LinkedIn is visual now. Use tools like Canva or Figma to create a branded post template set (for quotes, stats, behind-the-scenes, etc.) that matches your Executive’s tone and company brand. Help them stand out with clean, consistent visuals and a polished profile banner. It makes a big difference.

3. Spark the Right Conversations, Not Just Likes
Encourage your Executive to comment on others’ posts daily - but make it strategic. Set up a list of 10–15 thought leaders, partners, or key voices in your industry and schedule 5–10 minutes each morning for them to leave meaningful comments. This builds visibility faster than posts alone.

4. Build a “LinkedIn Day” Habit
Pick one day a week where your Executive batch-creates or schedules content using a tool like Buffer or Shield. Then, you monitor and track performance, which types of content spark the most engagement, who’s interacting, and what insights they can bring into their next post or pitch.

We’re hearing it more and more – leaders need to build their personal brand, both inside their organizations and out in the wider world. Goal-Setting Challenge

This Week’s Influence Challenge: Help Your Exec Show Up on LinkedIn.

Whether they’re brand new to posting or just need a bit of a nudge, take the initiative this week to support your Executive in building (or refining) their LinkedIn presence.

Why it matters:
✅ It positions your Executive as a credible, visible leader in your industry.
✅ It builds your own skills in digital branding and strategic communications.
✅ It shows that you’re thinking one step ahead — and ready to help them shine.

Need a starting point?
Ask yourself: “What would make it easier for my exec to start showing up on LinkedIn?”
Then take one small action:

  • Refresh their LinkedIn bio or banner
  • Suggest a post idea based on a recent win, insight, or team moment
  • Block 15 minutes for a LinkedIn “power session”
  • Or set up Buffer and schedule their first post of the quarter

We’d love to hear how you take the lead this week — and what you help your Exec post! Share your small wins inside The EA Campus Community so we can celebrate with you.
